Right here, right now, 2003. Video, 26 min, showed as unending loop, although can be screened once. MADE BY GRAND ROYAL ART.

Thanks to: Hanne, Arne, Dang, Anne, Toril, Kaus, Ståle, Vilde, Heidi, Petra, Lars and Inge.

Showed at two occations, once in Kristinsand and once in Bergen. Originally made for the exhibition Tampa in Kristiansand during the music festival Quart. Alf Waage and Silje Heggren curated an exhibition for the festival in the town square. The setting was six 12 metres freight containers and Grand Royal Art had one to install "Right here, right now" in. The next time this video was showed was in the By the Way gallery in Bergen.

From the installation of "Right here, right now" in Kristiansand:

Thanks to Hallvard, Lars, Erlend and Ole.

Installation of containers in the town square really early in the morning of the opening. All the works had to be installed in something like 12 hours.

Johanna and Heidi laying the carpet with underfelt and all.       Our good helpers Ole, Erlend and Lars.

They helped us rebuild the construction inside the container, which thanks to Hallvard was easy to put together.

This is how the video looked in the end, inside the container.

Press release for "Right here, right now", July 2003. Grand Roayl Art at the Quart festival in the exhibition Tampa:

From the outside a freight container can seem uninviting, but when you enter through the light lock created in Grand Royal Art's container you are transported to another place. At the far end of this tranquil and cool room you are confronted with a person. From the screen someone is looking at you for a long time, and then encouraging you to "just do it".

Grand Roayl Art is again refirng to popular culture to enhance their ideas. "Right here, right now" takes you away from the masses of the people outside for a moment and presents you with the opportunity to act on the encouragment, or not.
